Pengembangan Model Pembelajaran Bola Basket untuk Mahasiswa/ DHIKA BAYU MAHARDHIKA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran bola basket
untuk mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and
Development (R&D) mengacu pada model Borg & Gall. Subjek penelitian terdiri
dari mahasiswa yang mengikuti mata kuliah bola basket di Universitas
Singaperbangsa Karawang. Uji coba dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu uji coba
kelompok kecil (20 mahasiswa), uji coba kelompok besar (40 mahasiswa), serta uji
efektivitas yang melibatkan 30 mahasiswa yang terbagi dalam kelompok kontrol
dan eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian meliputi observasi, wawancara, angket, serta
tes keterampilan teknik dasar bola basket (passing, shooting, dan dribbling). Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) model pembelajaran bola basket untuk
mahasiswa berhasil dikembangkan, (2) validasi ahli menyatakan bahwa model ini
layak diterapkan, (3) model yang dikembangkan terbukti lebih efektif dibandingkan
metode pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil uji efektivitas menunjukkan bahwa
kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dengan nilai
efektivitas lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Analisis uji Cohen’s d
menunjukkan bahwa model ini memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap peningkatan
keterampilan mahasiswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model
pembelajaran bola basket untuk mahasiswa efektif dalam meningkatkan
keterampilan teknik dasar bola basket mahasiswa.

This study aims to develop a basketball learning model for university students. The
research method used is Research and Development (R&D) referring to the Borg &
Gall model. The research subjects consist of students enrolled in the basketball
course at Singaperbangsa University, Karawang. The trials were conducted in three
stages: a small group trial (20 students), a large group trial (40 students), and an
effectiveness test involving 30 students, divided into control and experimental
groups. The research instruments included observation, interviews, questionnaires,
and tests of basic basketball skills (passing, shooting, and dribbling). The results of
the study show that: (1) the basketball learning model for students was successfully
developed, (2) expert validation indicates that the model is suitable for
implementation, and (3) the developed model proved to be more effective than
conventional teaching methods. The effectiveness test showed that the experimental
group experienced significant improvement with higher effectiveness scores
compared to the control group. Cohen’s d test analysis revealed that the model had
a large effect on improving students' skills. Thus, it can be concluded that the
basketball learning model for students is effective in enhancing their basic
basketball skills.
